Supplies for self-cateringOn-site staff or locals will quickly point out where the nearest small store is for supplies and groceries. There are a few small shops in the Matei area, or catch a bus or taxi down the coast (about 10 minutes) to Naqara town and Somosomo village. There is a new MH (Morris Hedstrom) supermarket at Somosomo, and more shops and supermarkets, plus a bank, at Naqara. There is one car hire company on Taveuni and this is located at Naqara also (near the bank). It is a Budget Rent a Car franchise but there are only a couple of vehicles so best to book your hire car ahead. The office is located at the Garden State Building. |
